The matriculation school department officials will conduct inspection of all matriculation schools in the city from May 3, to ensure the implementation of Justice Singaravelan committee’s recommendations on fee determination for the academic year 2014- 2015.
The educational officials said, admission for all classes in private schools would commence from May 1 and the schools should compulsorily paste the fee they are charging on the notice board, kept in front of the office room or at the entrance of the school premises.
The fee structure is supposed to take all expenses of the schools into account including teachers’ salaries, transport charges, expenditure towards maintenance, teaching aids, books and periodicals and smart classrooms among others and no extra fee should be collected from the students, they added.
