Six Houses Gutted in Twso Fire Accidents

Six houses were gutted in two separate instances at Pudupet and Kirumambakkam on Wednesday.

Six houses were gutted in two separate instances at Pudupet and Kirumambakkam on Wednesday.

In the first, Vanitha, wife of Kaliaperumal, who was running a dosa batter selling shop attached to her house at Pudupet in Lawspet, noticed fire around 12.30 pm. Two gas cylinders burst and gutted all belongings on Wednesday. Fire and rescue services staff  from Gorimedu station doused the fire.

In the second, five houses were gutted at Pillaiyar Koil Street in Kirumambakkam around 3.30 am on Wednesday. The fire was first noticed in one Selva’s house and it spread to four more houses. Fire and rescue services staff from Bahour station doused the fire.  Welfare Minister P Rajavelu visited the accident spot and offered assistance to people.
