Injured Get AC Ward; Two Discharged

After two of the 14 people injured in the Chennai Central Station blast were discharged on Friday, the remaining patients were given VIP treatment at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital.

After two of the 14 people injured in the Chennai Central Station blast were discharged on Friday, the remaining patients were given VIP treatment at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital.

All the remaining patients were shifted to air-conditioned wards to tide over the scorching heat and recover sooner.

Jithendra Rao and Murali, who had minor injuries, were discharged from hospital. Most of the relatives

and family of the 12 people were also attended to, on a day when no new surgeries were done on the injured. Hospital sources said that one more person was likely to be discharged on Saturday. The pellets and bits that were recovered from patients were will be handed over to the CB-CID, said the hospital’s dean.
