TN: Admission Application for Lateral Entry to Begin on May 13

Application forms for admission to second Year BE/BTech degree courses during 2014-2015 under the lateral entry scheme into engineering colleges in the State will be issued from May 13 to June 5 at 34 centres across the State on all working days, between 10 am and 5 pm.

The office of the Commissioner of Technical Education has said that the application form can also be obtained by post from: The Secretary, Second Year BE/BTech Degree Admissions 2014, Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology, Karaikudi - 630 004, by sending a self-addressed 35 x 26 envelope with a stamp of the value of `50, along with a demand draft for the prescribed amount with a requisition letter.

The cost of the application form is `300. For SCA/SC/ST candidates, the application form will be issued free of cost on production of an attested xerox copy of the community certificate.

The cost of the application form should be in the form of a demand draft obtained not earlier than May 12 from any nationalised/ scheduled bank drawn in favour of: The Secretary, Second Year BE/BTech Degree Admissions 2014, Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology, Karaikudi, payable at Karaikudi.

The last date for receipt of filled applications is June 6. The Single Window Counselling for Lateral Entry Admissions 2014 will be conducted at the Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology, Karaikudi. Candidates will be called for Counselling during the last week of June 2014 and allotment of colleges will be done following merit and communal reservation. The rank list will be published on the Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology website www.accet.in
