Special Coaching to Help Failed XII Students

In a first of its kind initiative, the School Education department has decided to provide special coaching to students, who failed in the Plus Two public examination and help them pass in the failed subjects in the supplementary examination.

The results of the Plus Two public examination that was held between March 3 and 25 were declared on May 9. Totally, 76,973 students failed in the examination.

The Directorate of Government Examination is planning to conduct supplementary examination in June/July for the failed students. Unsuccessful candidates can apply for supplementary examination till May 16.

The School Education department has now decided to conduct special coaching classes to these failed students, to help them pass the failed subjects and continue their higher studies with out wasting an academic year.

“If students can pass the failed subjects, they can still enrol into engineering colleges or arts and science colleges and continue their hig-her education, without wasting an academic year. If a student has to wait for a year to clear the Plus Two result, chances are there he/she could discontinue education,” said a School Education department official.
