PUDUCHERRY: The All India N R Congress (AINRC), in a statement said the people had given a fitting reply to the detractors of CM N Rangasamy by electing the party candidate R Radhakrishnan to the Lok Sabha and thereby endorsing their faith in the ruling government.
The AINRC general secretary V Bhalan, without naming the rivals, said the party (Congress) had ridiculed the Chief Minister for not implementing schemes, but the people who understood that it was due to financial crunch gave a fitting reply to those ‘conspirators.’
Bhalan said, the CM had appealed to elect someone who will ensure development of the UT and people had given a clear mandate to the ruling party. He said people had identified the true face of Congress candidate Narayanasamy under the mask and gave the verdict.
Bhalane said the party took up local issues to divert peoples’ attention. However, the people did not fell prey to their designs, he added.
Stressing that the people had shown that they will not tolerate anyone who were opposed to those who sincerely work for people, Bhalan said the rival party did not learn from that lesson and now for the second time people had given a fitting lesson.
For the first time, the AINRC was made the ruling party in 2011 and now in spite of attempts by political rivals to defame the government, people had given a correct verdict, for which the party was very grateful, he said and thanked people.
