'Police' Fakruddin Questioned Over Jewellery Employee Murder

COIMBATORE: "Police" Fakruddin, an accused in the murder of BJP Tamil Nadu General Secretary , Auditor Ramesh, was today interrogated in connection with the murder of a jewellery shop employee last year.     

The case registered in Gudiyatham Police station pertains to the murder of the employee by three persons, who also robbed him of Rs 1.5 lakh on April 29 last year.     

Police said that Fakruddin, lodged in the Vellore Central Jail was brought here early this morning and taken to police recruitment school initially for questioning.     

However, he was later whisked away to an undisclosed destination as police noticed the presence of media persons.     

Fakruddin along with Bilal Malik and Panna Ismail were arrested by CBCID from an obscure location in Andhra Pradesh on October 4 for their alleged involvement in three murder cases,including that of Ramesh and for planting an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) on the proposed convoy route of BJP leader L K Advani in 2011.
