Harrassed by NIA, Says Pipe Bomb Accused

PUDUCHERRY: The two accused in the pipe bomb case have filed a petition before the Principal District and Sessions Judge, C S Murugan alleging harassment, intimidation and improper food by the officers of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) during interrogation.

The NIA, which is probing into the planting of pipe bomb in front of former Union minister V Narayanasamy’s house and at a commercial complex at Madurai had arrested Karthick (40) and John Martin (32) of Tamilar Viduthalai Padai and brought them to Puducherry. During the remand period the NIA secured their  custody.

The District and Principal Sessions Judge will hear the respondents on May 29.
