Inclusion of Beneficiaries

CHENNAI: An inclusion camp for the beneficiaries of the Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme was held at the Chennai Primary School at Arumbakkam on Thursday.

Officials said over 588 people applied for the health insurance card during the camp, which was inaugurated by minister for Handloom and Textiles S Gokula Indira. Officials said that beneficiaries with an annual income limit of `72,000 and those who possess a family card are eligible to apply for the insurance.

Officials added that there is a separate office functioning at the Collectorate to enrol beneficiaries in the scheme. Meanwhile, Choolaimedu witnessed its first government health insurance camp on Thursday. The camp was inaugurated by Social Welfare Minister Valaramathi and Collector Sundaravalli.
