Pensioners To Get Insurance Coverage Under State Scheme

VELLORE: Pensioners, including spouse and family pensioners, have been requested to furnish details to get insurance coverage under the ‘New Health Insurance Scheme’ to be implemented by the State government with effect from July 1, 2014.

According to an official statement, the pensioners have been asked to collect the necessary forms in the format prescribed by the government as per the letter number 16413/pension/2014-2 dated May 12, 2014, from the pension pay office/treasury/public sector banks at the time of mustering.

The filled-in forms with photo and proof for date of birth of spouse may be given to the pension pay office/treasury/public sector bank by the pensioners/family pensioners either in person or through a messenger before June 30.

The pensioners/family pensioners have also been asked to take a copy of the filled-in forms and get attestation from the pension disbursing officer concerned.

Those who have already provided the pension details form along with the photo and the proof for date of birth of spouse during mustering, do not have to furnish the same again, but they have to give the filled- in additional form only (option form) prescribed by the government.

Those who have not yet attended the mustering, could get the forms from the pension pay office/treasury office or download the same from websites www.tn.gov.in or www.karuvoolam.in,  the release stated further.
