Jayalalithaa Asks AIADMK Cadre to Keep Calm

CHENNAI: AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa on Friday appealed to the party cadre and her supporters to keep calm and extend their cooperation in maintaining law and order as usual in Tamil Nadu.

In a statement here, the AIADMK chief said the details of the bail granted by the Supreme Court earlier in the day was conveyed to her.

“ I appeal to the party cadre, my supporters and the people of Tamil Nadu not to criticise the judgment of the court or the Judge who has delivered the judgment and not to engage in any activity that would malign the Judiciary.”, Jayalalithaa said and added that no one should level any charge against any one.

“You all should keep calm and extend your cooperation to maintain the law and order in Tamil Nadu as usual”, the AIADMK chief said and expressed confidence that she would win the case in appeal filed by her in the court.

Quoting former Chief Minister CN Annadurai’s view that a leader should possess a strong heart to withstand any eventuality, Jayalalithaa said being the leader of the AIADMK, she has been leading her public life on the footsteps of former Chief Minister MG Ramachandran, who has founded the party.
