BJP Wants Govt Buses to Enter Town

VELLORE: The Ranipet town BJP unit has urged the State government to ensure that all government buses, passing through the national highway, to enter the town bus-stand to cater to the residents of the town.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at the meeting of the town unit of the party on Sunday. The meet was presided over by BJP leader Mukundan.

The partymen said  most of the buses were bypassing the town by going along the national highway. This had deprived the local residents of the need to travel by express buses. So,  the buses to Chennai and Vellore must be made to enter the town, they said. Also, the party activits urged the municipality to relay the roads which  had been dug up for laying pipelines. Another resolution was adopted urging the Railway Ministry to put to use the Ranipet railway station.

State vice-president of the senior wing of the party N P Venkatraman and president of the Vellore east unit of the party Babu were present at the meeting.
