CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has stayed all proceedings pursuant to registration of a criminal case against Premalatha (48), wife of DMDK leader Vijayakant, pending before the Judicial Magistrate-I in Gobichettipalayam in Erode district.
Justice KBK Vasuki admitted the original petition from Premalatha and granted the interim stay on Monday. The judge also dispensed with her personal appearance on September 6 and posted the matter for further hearing on September 22. The case was against Premalatha’s speech in Gobichettipalayam alleging misuse of relief funds.
