PUDUCHERRY: The Pondicherry-2 branch of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has performed well in the zonal and national levels, senior divisional manager, Y Venkateswaralu of Vellore Division of LIC said here on Wednesday.
The Pondicherry-2 Branch achieved a first premium income of `30 crore against a target of `17 crore, thus, occupying the first position in the zone consisting of TN, Kerala and Puducherry, while it was ranked 7th in the all-India level, Venkateswaralu told reporters here.
The Pondicherry Division, consisting of two branches, contributed a total of `54 crore in 2013-2014, he said, adding that the Vellore division has completed 2,90,966 policies with first premium income of `254.39 crore during 2013-2014.
