CHENNAI: Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Saturday dropped Dairy Development Minister Madhavaram V Murthi from the State Cabinet and inducted BV Ramanaa in his place.
Governor K Rosaiah has accepted the recommendation and relieved Murthi from the Council of Ministers.
Jayalalithaa had on Friday relieved Murthi as AIADMK's Tiruvallur South district secretary and appointed Ramanaa as the secretary of Tiruvallur West district.
Ramanaa will be sworn in as minister at a simple function to be held at Raj Bhavan this evening.
