Kerala Skips Inspection by Committee

CUMBUM: Officials of the Kerala government boycotted the inspection conducted by the sub-committee to raise the storage level in Mullaiperiyar dam on Friday. The sub-committee comprising officials from Tamil Nadu, Kerala and the Centre has been asked by the supervisory committee to check the storage and submit a report on a regular basis.

As the water level crossed 130 feet, the sub committee came for an inspection on Friday. While two members from Tamil Nadu were present, the two members from Kerala were out of town.

After a prolonged wait, the members carried out an inspection of the main dam and the baby dam.
