VELLORE: Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, an alumnus of Voorhees College and whose birthday is being observed as Teachers Day, was paid floral tributes by students of Voorhees College, on Friday.
The function was organised by the student council of the college. Three retiring staff who had served the institution for over three decades were honoured on the occasion. LIC branch manager Mr Rao felicitated teachers and student organisers. A group of teachers enacted skits to glorify teachers while students presented a cultural show.
