COIMBATORE: The State government has reconstituted the search committee to select a new Vice-Chancellor for the Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Science University (TANUVAS).
The new search committee is headed by TANUVAS former V-C N Balaraman, who is the Chancellor’s nominee. The other members of the committee are AM Shanmugam from Erode, the government nominee, and N Natarajan, former Dean of Madras Veterinary College, who is nominated by the Academic Council of the university. The committee has been asked to recommend a panel of three names along with their bio-data to Governor-Chancellor K Rosaiah, to be appointed as V-C.
The term of the V-C ended on October 18 last year.
