MADURAI: The Madurai Bench of Madras HC relaxed the bail conditions for former union minister M K Alagiri in a land encroachment case. Allowing the plea, Justice K Kalyanasundaram directed M K Alagiri to appear before the police station concerned. On September 5, the court granted anticipatory bail to Alagiri, by imposing a condition to appear before the district crime branch-cum-anti-land grabbing special cell. Hence, Alagiri filed a petition seeking to relax the conditions while granting anticipatory bail. Earlier, the district crime branch-cum-anti-land grabbing special cell registered a case based on a complaint launched by Jayaraman, Executive Officer of HR & CE Department.
