Arcot Nawab Welcomes Modi’s View on Muslims

CHENNAI: Prince of Arcot, Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali has welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent remark that ‘Indian Muslims will live and die for the nation and will not dance to the tune of terror outfits.’

In a statement here on Saturday, he said the nation’s progress is dependent upon the co-existence of people, belonging to different communities. “We must prove ourselves that Indians are one. We have to strongly condemn terrorism in any form, and Islam should not be misunderstood as a religion of terrorism” he noted.

He urged the PM to deal with firmly against all communal forces trying to polarise the society by portraying the Muslims in a poor light through hate speeches.

Pointing out that Muslims continue to remain below par in terms of economic and educational status, the Prince urged the PM to create a scholarship for deserving students belonging to religious minorities.
