Traders Assn Seek Welfare Board in Pondy

PUDUCHERRY: Puducherry Traders Federation, comprising 55 traders association from all the four regions of the UT have urged the government to constitute a welfare board for traders and enact a legislation for regulation of loading and unloading operations in the UT.

Briefing newsmen at a press conference, president of the federation M Sivasankar and general secretary S Balou said, despite the assurances by the Chief Minister in this regard at a meeting in February last, the legislation is yet to come through.
