Sri Lankan Navy Destroyes Fishing Nets

RAMESWARAM: The Sri Lankan Navy allegedly damaged fishing nets of fishermen while fishing near Katchatheevu.

Rameswaram Fishermen Organisation President S Emerite said fishermen had gone in 508 boats for fishing last night.

When they were fishing near Katchatheevu, the Navy personnel who came there threatened them not to fish there destroyed several fishing nets.
