PUDUCHERRY : Chief Minister N Rangasamy on Friday said his government was committed to implementation of public welfare schemes and measures.
Replying to discussions on the Budget and demands for grants for various schemes, the Chief Minister said there was criticism from the members that the government was not bothered about the schemes. He said the government was now concentrating on developing infrastructure and that all the announced schemes would be implemented step by step based on the availability of funds.
Also, Rangasamy informed the Assembly that there was an increase in the revenue collection. This increase had been derived from the commercial and excise taxes.
