Rs 25 Cr Grant for Edapadi

CHENNAI: Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa announced a special grant of `25 crore to Edapadi municipality in Salem district to mark its golden jubilee year. Using this fund, the infrastructure facilities of the municipality would be improved.

In a statement released, the CM said Edapadi municipality was created as a third grade municipality in 1965 and now it is functioning as the first grade municipality. During the past three years, 92 works have been taken up at a cost of `27.83 crore.
