MAMALAPURAM: Around ten firms will start functioning in the INKEL industrial park at Panakkad near here in the next six months time. The INKEL campus will become the education and industrial hub of Malappuram district within a short span of time. The INKEL Greens Education and Industrial City is situating at a 183 acre plot at Karathode in Panakkad village.
INKEL has handed over land to 15 industrial units so far. The firms which come under the green category of pollution control board have started functioning in the INKEL campus. International convention centre, star hotel, shopping complex, facility centre, open air auditorium, multiplex theatres, play ground, etc will come up in the campus.
The land handing over discussions for these projects are ongoing with various parties. Government is planning to complete all the projects in the campus within three years time.
