COIMBATORE:Police are investigating the death of a 29-year-old woman, who had given birth to twins just a few days ago. While her family members were earlier concerned that her death was a result of medical negligence, the intervention of hospital authorities and their subsequent explanations to them convinced the family members that her death was due to complications arising after delivery. The deceased, M Lakshmi Sudha, of Punjaipuliampetti, Erode, was working as an assistant manager at a private bank in Chennai. She had married B Manikumar(30) around two years ago. Lakshmi Sudha had given birth to twins on June 13 at a private clinic in Cross Cut Road here. However, after the delivery, she had suffered an inflammation of the stomach and was shifted to another hospital on June 19. However, she died on Sunday. The Kattoor police registered a case and sent the body to the CMCH for post-mortem.
