Chef Mowed Down by TNSTC Bus

CHENNAI: A 24-year-old Chef working with a five-star hotel in Guindy was fatally knocked down by a State-run bus, on the Kathipara grade separator, on Friday evening.

Police said, the bus operated by Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) was heading to Puducherry when the mishap occurred.

The deceased was identified as Shasinsha, (24), a native of Cuddalore. He was staying in Ekattuthangal and was heading home when the mishap occurred around 4 pm.

The bus knocked him over and came under the wheels. He died on the spot. Bus driver Radhakrishnan (42) of Cuddalore, was arrested.
