CHENNAI:Chief Minister and AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa on Sunday announced that she would appoint a vote canvasser in each of the 64,094 election booths in the State to meet the people directly and speak about the achievements of her government. This is a microlevel poll campaign strategy.
In a statement here, she said, “The AIADMK government headed by me is implementing several schemes for people’s welfare. In a democratic regime, people coming to know about the schemes and achievements of the government will add strength and pride to the government”.
The party would nominate a vote canvasser for each polling booths to meet the 5,62,06,547 voters in the State.
The vote canvasser would be nominated from Jaya Peravai and the nominated worker, should meet all the voters in the area as many times as possible, she stressed.
