Abducted Vellore Realtor Rescued in Dindigul Dist

TIRUVANNAMALAI: Tiruvannamalai police have rescued a 58-year-old realtor, who was reportedly abducted for a ransom of `50 lakh from his own car and have detained three persons for inquiry in connection with the case on Thursday.

Police say, three unidentified persons approached R Abdul Latif, a realtor and resident of Anna Nagar, on August 14 stating that they were keen to invest in land owned by him and asked him to show his lands to them. He was reported missing by his family members since that day.

His family They received a phone call from Latif’s phone on August 17 when he said he was abducted.

Dindugal police rescued Latif during a vehicle check between Palani and Kodaikanal Road as Latif shouted that he was being abducted.
