CHENNAI: The DMK chief M Karunanidhi on Friday said the raids on former Union Minister A Raja were political vendetta and were being done as the Assembly elections were approaching.
He said, “A case had been filed against Raja and the hearing is nearing completion. Raids are being conducted deliberately and reports are flashed in the media when the elections are near.”
Raja who met him today informed him that the CBI official in charge of the probe had submitted in court that there was no charge of disproportionate wealth against Raja or his family members.
“It is funny that a CBI official filed a new case on Raja, his family members and friends,” the DMK patriarch added.
