COIMBATORE: A couple from Sulur complained to the police on Saturday that a financier and his accomplice had assaulted them after locking them up in their house. Deepak Raja (32), and his wife, Pandiselvi (30), had borrowed Rs 13,500 from the financier John, one year ago, they said. He was now demanding Rs 30,000 as interest. The two, who are daily wage workers, managed to escape from them and lodged a complaint with the Sulur police.
