TN Assembly Session to Begin With Governor's Address on February 17

CHENNAI: This year’s first session of Tamil Nadu State Assembly begins on February 17 with the customary address of Governor K Rosaiah. 

Tamil-Nadu-Assembly.pngThe session is scheduled to commence at 10.45 a.m.  Later, the Business Advisory Committee of the House will decide the duration of the session.  Usually, it lasts for a week. 

The Governor is likely to give an outline of State government’s policies on various issues and make some important announcements.  Chief Minister O Panneerselvam chaired the meeting of the State Cabinet at the Secretariat on Friday and approved the text of the Governor’s address. The meeting lasted for about 45 minutes.
