FMD Drive Assessed

COIMBATORE: District Collector Archana Patnaik, on Wednesday, assessed the ongoing Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) vaccination drive at Peedampalli, conducted as part of the mass contact programme organised by the Revenue Department.

The Animal Disease Intelligence Unit (ADIU) has vaccinated 1.22 lakh cattle, of the 2,45,816 cattle in Coimbatore, as of September 9, said a press release.

The vaccination drive began on September 1. It is scheduled to conclude on September 21, with a possibility of being extended by another 18 days to cover any areas which was missed out during the drive.
