COIMBATORE: The Joint Commissioner of Transport (JCT) of Coimbatore zone, P Muruganatham has ordered south RTO Munusamy to cancel the sales certificate of car dealer ‘Prasanna Automobile’ for making changes in the RC book entries and also misusing transport department’s seal.
The affected customer, Aadhan, a resident of Idyarpalayam had purchased Chevrolet Spark LS LPG at Prasanna Automobile showroom in February 2013. The actual price of the vehicle was `6.34 lakh and he had received the vehicle on February 11 by paying Rs 60,000 as initial amount.
On March 9, the staff of the showroom had handed over RC book to the customer mentioning that vehicle model was 2012. Subsequently, Aadhan questioned about it and returned the document to them. A month later, the staff again handed over the document changing the make of the vehicle to 2013.
Following this, Aadhan registered complaint with the police. Subsequently, Muruganantham ordered RTO Munusamy to cancel the dealer’s sales certificate.
