VILLUPURAM: Depressed over his in-laws blaming him for his wife’s suicide, a 35-year-old farmer killed his teenaged sons, before hanging himself to death, near Tirukoilur on Friday.
According to the police, Senthilkumar (35), of Arumparampattu near Tirukoilur, was a farmer. His wife Ambhika had hanged herself to death following a domestic dispute a few months ago. Since then, he had been living with his sons Silambarasan (15) and Anbarasan (13). Ambhika’s parents used to blame Senthilkumar for their daughter’s death. The grief-stricken farmer suffered a bout of depression.
On Friday, Senthilkumar poisoned his sons with pesticide before taking his own life.
