Schools across Tamil Nadu shut for two days ahead of cyclone

According to Director of School Education S Kannappan, schools will remain closed on December 1 and 2.

CHENNAI: Ahead of cyclonic storm Nada which is expected to cross Tamil Nadu coast and hit Cuddalore, Directorate of School Education has declared holiday for two days in five district expecting heavy rainfall.

According to Director of School Education S Kannappan, schools will remain closed on December 1 and 2 in Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Cuddalore, and Nagapattinam districts. "In Villupuram, only two places Vanur and Marakkanam which are close to the coast, schools will remain closed,"he said.
