M K Stalin Begins Fourth Phase of Election Campaign

CHENNAI:  DMK treasurer MK Stalin on Wednesday began the fourth phase of his poll campaign ‘Namakku Naamey’ from Radhakrishnan Nagar, the constituency of Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, and appealed to the people for a change of regime in the State.

Interacting with the sanitary workers of the Chennai Corporation, Stalin pointed out that it was the DMK government that formed the welfare board for sanitation workers.

The sanitary workers complained that barring NGOs and few individuals, none visited the flood affected areas or provided any relief during the time of crisis.

Stalin said he had received four lakh petitions during his campaign tour throughout the State and added that he had sent them to the concerned officials. He said grievances in some of the petitions could be solved if the DMK returned to power.

When reporters asked him about alliance ahead of the Assembly elections, he said a strong alliance under the leadership of the DMK would be formed after the election dates were announced.
