IAS Officers in Tamilnadu Get New Assignments

CHENNAI: The State government on Saturday announced new posts for many IAS officers who had already been transferred and a few officers who have been reverted to the State cadre from Central service. 

Shambu Kallolikar, former Secretary/ Director, State Rural Health Mission will be taking charge as Secretary/Commissioner, Agricultural Marketing and Agri Business. R Lalithaa, former Deputy Commissioner, Corporation of Chennai, will take over as Deputy Secretary, Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection Department.

Dayanand Kataria, former Commissioner, Delhi Development Authority, on reversion to the State cadre will take charge as Secretary/Commissioner, Minorities Welfare. A Suganthi, former MD, Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing Development Corporation, has been appointed as Joint Secretary, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department.

P Senthilkumar, former Director of Sericulture, has been posted as Joint Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries Department. GK Arun Sundar Dayalan, Regional Deputy Commissioner (Central), Corporation of Chennai will be taking over as Deputy Secretary, Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department.

Hemant Kumar Sinha, former secretary, Youth Welfare and Sports Development, will be taking charge as CMD, TANSI. Supriya, former Joint Secretary, Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, on reversion to State cadre, will be taking over as MD, TIIC.

Praveen P Nair, Deputy Secretary, Municipal Administration, has been appointed as Regional Deputy Commissioner (north).  Similarly, Subodh Kumar, Deputy Secretary, School Education, will be joining as Regional Deputy Commissioner (Central), Corporation of Chennai.  Rajendra Ratnoo, MD, Poompuhar Shipping Corporation, will hold full additional charge as Commissioner, Social Security Schemes. Prashant M Wadnere, Deputy Secretary, Finance, will hold full additional charge as Member Secretary, Fifth State Finance Commission. Smita Nagaraj, Secretary/Director, Entrepreneurship Development Institute, has been deputed to Central service.
