In a late night press release, Lt Governor Kiran Bedi joined issue with Chief Minister V Narayanasamy, stating he had sought to shield Chief Secretary Manoj Parida as he knows Parida will face the consequences for flouting her directives. She pointed out that Parida has issued the order a day after she sent him a warning not to do so through mail. She also claimed that Union secretary for home affairs had called up Parida and asked why he didn’t put up the file before the L-G for her final order.
