Dinakaran returns without meeting Aunty in Bengaluru jail

Local sources said that as an arrest warrant was also issued in the name of Dinakaran, he discussed the development with the party leaders after reaching Bengaluru.

BENGALURU: AIADMK deputy secretary Dinakaran returned to Chennai late Monday night without meeting his aunt V K Sasikala who is lodged in in Parappana Agrahara Central Jail near Bengaluru. 

According to party sources, Dinakaran was supposed to meet Sasikala at around 2 pm Monday, but did not meet her after news broke that one Sukesh Chandrashekar was arrested allegedly for trying to bribe Election Commission officials to get the AIADMK’s two leaves symbol freed. 

Local sources said that as an arrest warrant was also issued in the name of Dinakaran, he discussed the development with the party leaders after reaching Bengaluru.

"He was planning to meet Sasikala on Tuesday afternoon, but he received a message from Sasikala to go back to Chennai and focus on the political developments there. Dinakaran left the city late Monday night and reached Chennai", sources added.
