VELLORE: Amidst Murugan’s fast entering its ninth day, his wife Nalini has also decided to begin an indefinite fast on Monday, it emerged.
Both V Sriharan alias Murugan and wife Nalini are life convicts in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. Murugan began fast unto death on August 18 demanding his immediate release. He was quoted by sources that he had lost hope of getting released after spending 26 years in jail.
As part of efforts by the jail administration, Prisons ADGP C Sylendra Babu has visited Murugan at Vellore Central Prison urging him to end the fast.
