VILLUPURAM: Two weeks after 28-year-old finance company employee P Arun Kumar committed suicide at a private lodge in Villupuram, alleging torture by his employers, Alex Raja and Jayaseelan, the police picked up Jayaseelan on Saturday night and hunt is on for Alex Raja.

According to the police, Arun Kumar of Palakarai in Tiruchy was working as a collection agent and in the first week of December checked into a lodge near the Villupuram bus stand. On December 4, he did not venture out of his room and when the door was broke open, the police and lodge employees found him hanging.

A suicide note left behind by him alleged that Alex Raja and Jayaseelan were usurers and they would go to any length to get the money and that many innocent villagers had fallen victim to them. He further claimed in the note that he tried to gather evidence against the duo, but failed and dejected by it, he was sacrificing his life. He demanded strict action be taken against the duo.
