CM Palaniswami announces solatium to kin of fisherman killed in Cyclone Ockhi

The fisherman, Antony Raj was fishing off Kollam in Kerala on November 30 when his boat capsized in the sea due to strong winds, Chief Minister K Palaniswami said in a statement.

CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu government today announced a solatium of Rs 20 lakh to the family of a fisherman from Kanyakumari district killed in Kerala during cyclone Ockhi last month.

Antony Raj was fishing off Kollam in Kerala on November 30 when his boat capsized in the sea due to strong winds, Chief Minister K Palaniswami said in a statement.

The Chief Minister expressed grief over the death of the fisherman and announced a solatium of Rs 20 lakh to his family.
