CHENNAI: THE Election Commission of India on Monday posted the next hearing on the AIADMK’s ‘Two Leaves’ symbol dispute for November 8.
On that day, the counsel for the faction led by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam will file their rejoinder to the arguments put forth by the counsel of the faction led by VK Sasikala and T T V Dhinakaran.

On Monday, the hearing started amid rumours that the Election Commission of India is considering to request the Supreme Court to allot some more time to pass the final order on the ‘Two Leaves’ dispute.
Even as Abhishek Singhvi put forth his arguments, the full bench of the Election Commission of India asked him to wrap it up at that.
The Supreme Court had already directed the Commission to pass its final order on November 10.
