Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami urged to drop cases against media persons

CHENNAI: Leaders of the Alliance for Media Freedom met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Tuesday and urged him to withdraw the cases registered against the media and give up the  crackdown on mediapersons. Publisher of THE HINDU N Ravi, Chairman of Kasturi and Sons N Murali and convenor of the organisation Peer Mohammed formed part of the delegation that met the Chief Minister. 

Shields to best stalls distributed

Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Monday distributed shields to government departments for setting up best stalls at an exhibition marking one year completion of his government. The Health and Family Welfare department bagged the top honours while the Housing and Urban Development, Highways and Minor Ports departments jointly received the second prize. The Handlooms and Textiles, Agriculture and PWD departments were the joint winners of the third prize.
