No errors in translating Amit Shah’s speech: BJP national secretary H Raja

BJP national secretary H Raja on Wednesday said there were no errors in his translation of the speech of party’s national president Amit Shah during the latter’s visit to Chennai. 

THANJAVUR: BJP national secretary H Raja on Wednesday said there were no errors in his translation of the speech of party’s national president Amit Shah during the latter’s visit to Chennai.  Raja met media persons after garlanding the portrait of freedom fighter Veeran Azhagu Muthu Kone on his birth anniversary.  

Responding to Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar’s jibe that Amit Shah’s ‘corrupt State’ remark could be a translation error, Raja, who translated the BJP chief’s Hindi address to Tamil, said, “I translated Shah’s speech verbatim which is available in Hindi on his Facebook page and anyone can check that.”
The BJP president claimed there was no opposition to the Salem-Chennai Expressway project and that compensation would be paid four times value of market rate.He said of the 2,300 hectares to be acquired only 400 hectares could be classified as farmland and farmers were ready to part with their land.
