CHENNAI: A 40-year-old rowdy was hacked to death by a five-member gang near his house in Chengalpattu on Monday morning owing to previous enmity. Police said Seenu alias ‘Kulla’ Seenu, who resided at Nedunchezllian Street, “left home on Monday to meet his friends. Hardly, a few metres away from his house, five men on motorbikes intercepted him and hacked him to death in full public view”.
Later, the men escaped from the scene. Passersby, who witnessed the murder, rushed him to the hospital where he was declared brought dead. Investigation revealed that Seenu was involved in the murder of AIADMK worker ‘Kurangu’ Kumar and his car driver Arumugam, and also had several other cases including attempt to murder, theft registered against him.
