A new bus depot built at Edamalaipattipudur in Srirangam at a cost of `98 lakh was inaugurated by CM Edappadi K Palaniswami through video-conferencing on Wednesday.

CHENNAI:A new bus depot built at Edamalaipattipudur in Srirangam at a cost of `98 lakh was inaugurated by CM Edappadi K Palaniswami through video-conferencing on Wednesday.

An official release said the facility is spread over 2.16 acres The depot has new buildings for maintenance, stocking spare parts, workers restroom, branch manager’s office and bus cleaning shed.On May 9, 2012, the then Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa had announced that 25 depots would be built by State Transport Corporations and Edamalaipattipudur was one among them, release said.
