ICF Vidyaniketan School inaugurated at Integral Coach Factory

ICF Vidyaniketan School, a CBSE syllabus-based higher secondary school under the administration of the Integral Coach Factory (ICF), was inaugurated on Monday.

CHENNAI: ICF Vidyaniketan School, a CBSE syllabus-based higher secondary school under the administration of the Integral Coach Factory (ICF), was inaugurated on Monday. The retired Principal of DAV Girls Senior Secondary School, Mogappair, M P Geetha, other academics and ICF officials were present at the inaugural.

According to an official statement, the school, which will be governed by the ICF management, will have classes from 1 to 7 for the current year, and will be augmented upto class 12 in coming years.
The school will have the same functionalities as Kendriya Vidyalaya schools all over the nation. “The classrooms have been provided with smart learning equipment to provide interactive learning system for students. The equipment was supplied by TATA Class Edge,” said the statement.

With the biometric attendance system for teaching, non-teaching staffs and students, the entire premises of the new school will be covered by CCTVs. “Currently, the school has 25 teaching faculties, and 15 more teachers will be added in coming months. The management aims to have the teacher-student ratio of 1:40,” added the statement. The school was established on the request of ICF employees, who wanted to have the CBSE system of education for their wards. “Though wards from non-railway employees also are admitted, preference will be given to ICF and railway employees’ wards,” said the statement.

It may be recalled that four schools are functioning on the ICF premises, out of which two are state government schools and two managed by the ICF management
