CHENNAI: Principal opposition party DMK has extended support to the hunger strike that members of the traders’ federation Tamil Nadu Vanigar Sanga Peramaippu will observe on Tuesday across the state.

Party president MK Stalin, in a release, said that condemning the policies of the State and Centre, the Tamil Nadu traders’ federation would observe fast on October 23.

The traders are heavily affected by rise in fuel prices, GST and demonetisation, he said.
